The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) is a non-profit dedicated to the advancement of heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential.

SASE's mission is to:

Prepare Asian heritage scientists and engineers for success in the global business world
Celebrate diversity on campuses and in the workplace
Provide opportunities for members to make contributions to their local communities

SASE @ UCSB

The SASE student chapter at UCSB was founded in January 2015 with a mission to provide STEM students with opportunities promoting academic support, community involvement, and professional development.

Since our establishment, SASE UCSB was recognized as the Most Outstanding New Chapter in 2016 and received an honorable mention for Most Influential Chapter in 2018. Several of our members have also been recognized at the National level for their commitment and contribution to SASE such as Jessica Wong (2016 Collegiate Star, 2017 National Role Model), Shreyas Canchi Radhakrishna (2018 Collegiate Star), and Swetha Cherukuri (2019 Collegiate Star).
